In a recent press release, Wyld, a cannabis edibles brand, announced that the company had become an official Pinnacle Member of The Conservation Alliance (TCA), a coalition of outdoor and environmental advocates located in North America. Wyld is the first cannabis brand to reach membership of this level (1).

“Wyld is proud to have joined The Conservation Alliance, alongside brands that have inspired our own environmental journey, to generate larger collective impacts for the wild places that we care about and work to protect,” said Aaron Morris, CEO and Founder of Wyld (1). “Creating a pathway for profits to support environmental conservation efforts on a large scale was my #1 goal in starting Wyld, and I'm confident that the TCA's expertise, advocacy and intentionality will help us do just that.”

Through joining this organization, the press release mentioned that (1), “As a Pinnacle Member, Wyld is pledging funds and advocating for the protection of wild landscapes and biodiversity across North America. This membership is guided by Wyld's broader Pillars of Commitment, which define the company's corporate social responsibility values. One of those pillars—Environmental Sustainability—prioritizes conservation funding, renewable energy adoption, waste reduction and education about sustainable practices.”

TCA currently consists of more than 200 companies. As a member, Wyld will now be able to assist with collective action campaigns to “support grassroots organizations, policy initiatives and collective action campaigns that protect public lands, wildlife corridors and outdoor access for future generations,” (1).

In April 2025, Wyld announced their Wyld Works program, which is an initiative focusing on community, climate, and activism. The program consists of four pillars, hoping to serve as a model for corporate responsibility in the cannabis industry, bridging business operations with climate, and community (2).

Wyld first began in 2016 (2). The company released their 2024 Impact Report in a April 2025 press release. Highlights in the press release from the report, which tracks the company’s progress on environmental and social metrics, included (2,3):

  • 100,000 trees planted across all nonprofit partners and employee-led efforts since the program's inception
  • Over 75,000 meals donated in 2024 to help combat food insecurity
  • More than 365 expungements achieved in 2024 through Wyld's restorative justice efforts, with more than 1,300 records cleared with Wyld's previous support
  • 100,000 pounds of ocean-bound trash removed in 2024, due to Good Tide's partnership with Ocean Blue Project
  • 41 new community partners joined Wyld's network in 2024, expanding staff volunteer opportunities and amplifying local impact

“These efforts are not new to Wyld, but Wyld Works gives them a home—a unified platform that allows us to deepen our responsibility as a growing business,” added Aaron Morris, CEO and Co-Founder of Wyld (2). “We believe success isn't just about revenue—it's about impact and leading by example.”
