Cannatrol, a precision-controlled drying and curing technology company, and Rhythm Cultivation Solutions & Services, an enterprise involved with environmental controls and fertigation, recently disclosed their partnership in a recent press release which plans to gather data “throughout the cultivation and post-harvest processes will provide commercial cannabis cultivators new insights into their operations and efficiency,” (1).

“At the core of this partnership is a shared belief in making growers’ lives easier by connecting the dots across the cultivation journey,” said David Sandelman, Co-Founder and inventor of the Cannatrol

  • In this installment, Dr. Allison Justice, Founder and CEO of the Hemp Mine, and David Sandelman COO, CTO & Co-Founder of Cannatrol, discuss innovations in cannabis drying and curing, highlighting Cannatrol technology's ability to control vapor pressure for preserving trichome integrity and flower quality.

system (1). “By joining forces with Rhythm, we’re enabling our customers to work smarter, not harder.”

To bring this partnership together, Cannatrol will implement their operating data into Rhythm’s Graphic User Interface (GUI) which will help provide an informative opportunity to commercial cannabis cultivators. Through this joint effort, cannabis cultivators will now be able to experience (1) “a complete, end-to-end view of their facility data in one intuitive platform.”

Cannatrol’s environmental data will be “visualized” with Rhythm’s CSS tracking tools which include enhanced visibility, quality improvement, efficiency, and cultivation tracking tools (1).

“Rhythm is committed to building meaningful integrations that improve our clients’ operational performance,” mentioned Cale Winter, CEO of Rhythm CSS (1). “Bringing the Cannatrol system to life in Rhythm’s software and analytics creates a more holistic user experience that supports data-driven decision making across the entire cultivation operation.”

In a September 2024 press release, Cannatrol announced their involvement with the Cannabis Research Coalition (CRC), and shared results from two studies that “tested the effectiveness of Cannatrol’s technology to maintain stable vapor pressure throughout the drying and curing process,” (2).

“There are plenty of legacy cultivators growing good flower, but the key is to educate the community about the true science behind the cannabis post-harvest process,” said David Sandelman, CTO and Co-Founder of Cannatrol, in the September 2024 press release (2). “The science proves that maintaining vapor pressure levels keeps trichomes intact and delivers higher terpene retention with every harvest. By using these new methods in post-harvest, cultivators can consistently create more smokable cannabis that is superior in flavor, appearance and effect.”
