The press release mentioned that the conversion process is anticipated to be started in November 2025 and may require an estimated CAD $10 million in capital expenditures as the project progresses (1). Around 40 metric tons are estimated to be produced annually with the first planting in new grow rooms planned for the spring of 2026.
Village Farms President and Chief Executive Officer, Michael A. Once the Delta 2 greenhouse facility has finished their conversion, the establishment will have 2.2 million sq. ft. for cannabis production, an increase of 33% (1).
