Organic Remedies held their second annual Pennsylvania Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (PA CASA) golf tournament where the donations raised went to the state-wide nonprofit.
Medical cannabis research and cultivation company, Organic Remedies, located in south central Pennsylvania, raised $62,250 for the Pennsylvania Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (PA CASA) (1). To help grow and link local CASA programs, PA CASA was formed as a state-wide nonprofit (1). The organization’s goal is to provide forever homes, safety, and well-being to children that have been affected by neglect and abuse in the state of Pennsylvania (1).
According to a recent press release (1), Organic Remedies held their second annual golf tournament on September 15, 2023 at the Carlisle Country Club. The funds were raised via registrations and various other golf activities. The event was attended by over 100 golfers (1). Attendees included representatives from the medical cannabis industry and business partners who took part in the golf tournament. Organic Remedies raised triple of the amount given in the previous year. PA CASA received Organic Remedies donation on November 3, 2023 at the Carlisle Country Club located in Carlisle, Pennsylvania (1).
“No child living on this earth should ever have to fear their life at home, questioning whether they will eat that day and/or be abused by family members. We are proud to support PA CASA in aiding children and giving them the chance to have a better life. We hope that our contribution can advance training and create new programs to help children secure a safe and permanent home,” said Mark Toigo, CEO, Organic Remedies (1).
"We are more than grateful for Organic Remedies and their significant contribution to support our mission ‘to grow, strengthen, and unite local CASA programs so they can ensure the safety, well-being, and forever home for every abused and/or neglected child in Pa.’ With 21 local programs serving 28 counties across the state, there is still much work to be done, and this donation will go a long way in advancing our training and creating new programs in Pennsylvania,” Jennifer DeBalko, CEO and President, PA Court Appointed Special Advocates for Children (PA CASA), commented (1). “Thank you, Organic Remedies.”
