The Canna Boot Camp is the unofficial kick off to every Cannabis Science Conference and it has sold out for the third straight year in a row. In advance of today’s Canna Boot Camp, we spoke with Mike Genovese, COO of Chalice Farms, to find out why it’s such a success and how Chalice Farms got involved as the host.

Why did you decide to host the Canna Boot Camp?
The Canna Boot Camp is an excellent opportunity to showcase our facilities and network with a variety of specialists. As a result, prior Canna Boot Camps have led to some tremendous success in partnership thanks to meeting these folks at the event.

What impact do you think these Canna Boot Camp classes have had on the cannabis industry so far?
The event provides an excellent place for people to mind share on best practices that can help us all advance in this growing industry.

What has the Canna Boot Camp taught you or your team over the past few years? Did you learn anything that impacted your business?
It wasn’t so much about what we learned, but what we gained. The connections to resources have helped our ability to produce and process, especially in our laboratory.

Do you have a favorite zone or section of the Canna Boot Camp?
It’s difficult to choose a favorite zone of the Canna Boot Camp. I would have to say I find them all interesting.

For anyone that has never attended a Canna Boot Camp, what would you say to persuade them to attend next year?
Canna Boot Camp is an amazing opportunity to meet experts from outside the cannabis industry, which may help your cause in the cannabis industry.
