Jeff Lowenfels, Author, Teaming Series, discusses his keynote talk “There Is a New Bud in Town” from the 2019 Cannabis Science Conference West.

Jeff Lowenfels, Author, Teaming Series, will give a keynote talk today in Rooms A105–A106 starting at 9:30 a.m. The talk is titled “There Is a New Bud in Town.” Lowenfels recently spoke to us about his talk and other sessions he’s excited about attending this week.

Can you give us a little preview of your keynote talk for the 2019 Cannabis Science Conference West?Jeff Lowenfels: My talk is on autoflowering cnnabis which I predict will become not only the commercial grower’s choice but the next tomato for the home gardener. It is a new kind of cannabis, greatly improved over the last few years that doesn’t require a photoperiod, has smaller plants, and can go from germination to harvest in 7 to 9 weeks.

What do you hope attendees will take away from your keynote?

Lowenfels: There is a new bud in town and it is definitely worth trying to grow because of its so many advantages.
